Dates for SAGE 2010
The venue for SAGE is still to be announced. Detailed arrival instructions and maps will be e-mailed after acceptance, so please be sure that we know your current e-mail address. The application deadline for all participants is Friday, March 26, 2010. Evaluations will begin the next week. Applicants will be notified of acceptance/non-acceptance by approximately April 15. The fee for SAGE 2010, which includes room and board, is $450. $100 must be received FROM ALL PROSPECTIVE PARTICIPANTS with the application. Applications will not be considered without it. The $100 fee will be RETURNED to all applicants if not accepted to SAGE. Personal check or money order are preferred. Note: All applicants applying from outside the U. S., please e-mail georgia@lanl.gov for payment instructions. For those participants who wish to arrive early or stay late (before or after the dates contracted above), you MUST make other arrangements such as with local motels. SAGE cannot cover additional room and board expenses. The tentative work plan for SAGE 2010 includes: 1) A Vibroseis refraction/reflection survey, and gravity and EM experiments of structures associated with the Santo Domingo basin of the Rio Grande rift. EM surveys will address, in part, basin geometry and depth to and quality of groundwater. 2) A combined geophysical survey of an environmental or archeological site. The surveys will probably include small-scale seismic, EM including ground-penetrating radar, and total-field magnetometry. Details of the work plan are to be determined. Please call the IGPP Centers office at (505) 663-5291 or e-mail us. If you have questions or need further information. |
