GRANT WRITING SUCCESS
Last month, the nonprofit Questa Economic Development Fund (QEDF) received a 2016 EPA Building Blocks for Sustainable Communities award.
“Due to the [2014 Molycorp] mine closing and opening of the Rio Grande monument, Questa faces new challenges with respect to the community’s infrastructure, economic development, natural resources conservation, and demands of tourism,” says Village of Questa Mayor Mark Gallegos. This award “will assist us with adapting to these new challenges.”
Members of the Laboratory’s Grant Writing Assistance Program helped prepare the successful EPA proposal.
