The 2018 Applied Research in Earth Sciences (ARiES) Geoscience Summer School will be the inaugural year for this exciting new summer course. ARiES is dedicated to helping students explore applications of machine learning in geosciences.

ARiES aims to bring graduate students together with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) experts in geoscience to work on exciting and challenging problems related to national and global security.

The program is sponsored by the Center for Space and Earth Science (CSES) at LANL.
