Materials and components for our nation’s nuclear and energy security

The Sigma Division manufactures experimental hardware and conducts basic and applied research in areas related to nuclear weapons, nuclear fuels and a variety of customers relevant to the other programs.  The materials investigated and processes include, but are not limited to, uranium, ferrous alloys, refractory metals and a variety of non-metallic materials.

Our goal is to provide the customer with expertise and components that meet their needs on schedule and in budget by providing:

  • Outstanding engineering solutions and metallurgical science in support of national security and industry customers: a scope that spans alloys, ceramics, and compounds from uranium to hydrogen.
  • Exceptional customer service from concept and process development to fabricated finished products.
