A recent report from the Department of Energy’s Inspector General drew attention to some issues in the Laboratory’s wildland fire program. Because of our history with wildfires starting outside Laboratory boundaries and threatening our facilities, the Laboratory is proactively making the dedicated annual investments necessary to reduce our risk profile in this area.
