- RoboRave Rally
RoboRave Rally and Science Showdown
Event Description
Teams of students from grades three through college will send their robots through mazes, up inclines and into jousting competitions.
The Science Showdown features a micro drone arena, hands-on science activities for kids, and booths from area institutions such as Explora Science Center and Twirl. HAZMAT robots from the Laboratory and the Los Alamos Police Department will be on display. Student teams have been building and programming their robots for months. The contest will help prepare them for the larger RoboRave International event, May 10 - 12 in Albuquerque. The programs provide hundreds of northern New Mexico students opportunities to develop STEM skills. The RobeRave rally is supported by the Laboratory and Los Alamos National Security, LLC.
