Nonprofit Organizations: Have Your Los Alamos Employees/Retirees Log Hours in VolunteerMatch

Volunteers help in many different roles including in heathcare.
If you are a nonprofit organization that has Lab employees or retirees as volunteers, now is the time to remind them to log their hours in the VolunteerMatch system. Each year Los Alamos National Security, LLC (LANS) provides funding to nonprofits based on where its volunteers provide help.
For volunteers with a minimum of 100 hours, or up to 500 hours, LANS contributes between $100 and $500 (in $100 increments) to the nonprofit of the volunteer’s choice. It could be yours.
The volunteers can now enter their hours for the 2012 calendar year at http://lanl.volunteermatch.org.
If you or your volunteers have questions, contact Debbi Wersonick with the Lab’s Community Programs Office at (505) 665-4400 or sonic@lanl.gov.
