Negotiable Licenses

What is Negotiable Licensing?

Private industry and research institutions can exclusively license technologies from Los Alamos National Laboratory through negotiable commercial license agreements. With this type of license the Laboratory grants a licensee the exclusive right to commercialize the intellectual property.

An option agreement allows the licensee to use the technology for a specific amount of time and first right of refusal to obtain a negotiated license.
