The Federal Office (CGA-DCG) has the following responsibilities:

Provides informed reporting and analysis to Lab leadership on the DOE, NNSA, and other Executive Branch Departments as well as Congress and independent government agencies
Communicates information requested about the Lab—its mission, strategic and tactical plans, activities, capabilities and needs—to DOE, NNSA, other departments and agencies, and Congress
Prepares issue and position papers, related research, briefing packages, and congressional testimony; responds to Congressional requests regarding Lab issues and programs
