So far, more than $670,000 has been raised.

The Lab’s annual giving campaign will run for another two weeks, and some changes we're making to it may help offset the almost 10 percent decrease in the number of LANL employees due to a voluntary separation that took place earlier this year. One of those changes is that Los Alamos National Security, LLC will fund all administrative costs for the program so that 100 percent of our employees’ contributions will go directly to the nonprofit organizations of their choice. An additional change is the appointment of 60 "champions" within Lab organizations so employees have ready access to representatives who can answer questions or provide other assistance to help them make a pledge. Some organizations are already holding special events and other fundraisers to help this campaign to be as robust as possible.

So far, more than $670,000 has been raised, which is well above what would normally be expected halfway through the campaign.

And next week, Lab employees will start donating to the annual food drive, held in partnership with the Food Depot, to help ensure that regional families can celebrate happy holidays with adequate and wholesome food.
