Scientist shares memoirs of World War II

Retired Laboratory scientist Jorg Jansen will share his memories of growing up in World War II Germany in a talk at 5 p.m. today at the Bradbury Science Museum.

Following the talk, Jansen will sign copies of his book And New Life Blossoms From the Ruins: A Boy in Germany 1939 to 1949 in the Otowi Station Bookstore and Science Museum Shop.

Jansen will focus on the time between 1939 and 1949. He will share his memories of World War II, the turmoil following the collapse of Hitler’s Third Reich, and the early years of the German Federal Republic (West Germany).
