Meteorology is the science of the atmosphere and the variations in atmospheric conditions that produce weather.

The Weather Machine, LANL's meteorological monitoring program, supports Laboratory operations and emergency preparedness by issuing warnings of fires, high winds, flash floods, and other severe weather conditions.

The Weather Machine displays real-time and historical information, including;

  • Data measured by the LANL meteorology program
  • Climate data for Los Alamos and White Rock
