New-Hire Orientation

All foreign nationals including students and postdocs must complete this process.


Do not report to the New-Hire Orientation until you have been scheduled by your Human Resources (HR) Division representative.

New-Hire check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Otowi Building, located on Casa Grande Drive, Technical Area 3, Building 261, Main Gate Conference Room (F200W). Orientation begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Directions from Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Espanola, check maps.

All vehicles entering LANL property are required to stop at the East and West Jemez Road "Vehicle Access Portals" (VAPs) for vehicle checks. Drivers must show picture identification.

In the event of a delayed opening or closure due to inclement weather, an alternate agenda will be followed.

You can choose to review and complete required documents and bring them with you to New-Hire Orientation.

Day 2 schedule

General Employee Training (GET) is mandatory for all new hires. Please reference the scheduled date, time, and location, in the new hire packet that you will receive on the first day of orientation. Employees, who have already taken GET, do NOT need to attend.

If you have any questions regarding your GET training, call the White Rock Training Center at 667-0059.
