Check your benefits eligibility status

You are eligible to enroll in full benefits if you are appointed to work in one of the following appointment categories:

• Full time
• Part time (50% time or minimum of 20 hours per week for 12-month period)

You are not eligible for benefits if you are appointed to work in a Casual appointment category or hold one of the following appointment types:

• High school co-op
• Lab associate
• Bargaining unit employee

The package you receive during your benefits orientation provides an overview of your benefits and the necessary enrollment form.

During orientation, you meet with a benefits representative to review your options, get answers to any questions you still may have, and confirm you have completed the form correctly. You have a Period of Initial Eligibility (PIE) of 31 days from your hire date to enroll in benefits.
