Postdoc Association Committees

Dynamic committees address needs of LANL's postdocs

The Los Alamos Postdoc Association (LAPA) created a number of dynamic committees to accomplish specific goals that address the needs of LANL's postdocs. As a goal is achieved, a committee may be phased out; as new needs are recognized then new committees will be created to help meet those needs.

Career Committee

The Career Committee is tasked with finding and making information available to LANL postdocs concerning external career opportunities. This committee sponsors an annual career fair.

Communication Committee

The Communication Committee is responsible for LAPA's webpages, as well as publicity for LAPA.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee consists of the leadership of LAPA: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, as well as the chairs of the standing committees.

Social Committee

To invigorate the LANL scientific community, the Social Committee plans and provides events for postdocs to get together in informal settings.
