Los Alamos National Laboratory is one of three laboratories owned by the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and the majority of our work done for the NNSA is related to nuclear stockpile stewardship and nuclear nonproliferation.

The Laboratory does additional work for the Department of Energy Office of Science, the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, the intelligence community, the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and others.

We have cooperative research agreements with a number of corporations both large and small, including Chevron, Procter and Gamble, EY (Ernst & Young), and EMC.

Our scientists regularly collaborate with laboratories and universities worldwide.
