Craig S. Leasure
Craig Leasure is the Principal Associate Director for Operations and Business at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Leasure oversees directorates of Business Innovation Services; Environment, Safety and Health; Nuclear and High Hazard Operations; and Mission Assurance, Security, and Emergency Response. He also oversees the Operations and Infrastructure Program Office.
As Operations leader, Leasure will work to enable mission delivery through driving productivity and innovation in all aspects of operations, business systems, and information systems.
- Leasure has served as the acting leader for Weapons since 2013 and spent the previous 20 years at Los Alamos in a series of leadership roles with increasing responsibility ranging from Group Leader for Environmental Chemistry to Office Director for the Planning and Integration Office for Nuclear Weapons Program, and Deputy Associate Director for Security and Facility Operations to Deputy Principal Associate Director for the Weapons Program.
- Before coming to Los Alamos, Leasure worked for Lockheed Engineering and Sciences Company at the NASA White Sands Test Facility as a Leader with the Laboratory Test Department. His department conducted scientific, engineering and test operations at two major facilities for hazardous testing, including explosives, rocket fuels and oxidizers, high-pressure gaseous hydrogen and oxygen testing, and liquid hydrogen and oxygen testing.
